AZ4000 HPS Mount

The AZ4000 HPS Mount is an extremely versatile scientific research mount, from satellite tracking to photometric and astrometric measurements. It is equipped with the mechanics of the GM4000 HPS II and provides very steady alt-azimuth configurations. The alt-az design means that if you want long exposures without field rotation, you will need an ASCOM compatible field de-rotator (not included).

The standard version of this mount allows you to assemble the optics to only 1 side of the mount and is supplied with a counterweight bar.

An optional, double telescope option (10M400DAZ) is available, which allows the use of two or more optics in a side-by-side set up. This will optimize the load of the mount and give you the opportunity to fully take advantage of the alt-az configuration.

 The double telescope option is compatible with all the plates used on the GM4000 series, including the dual plates Loduel and Maxidual. Therefore, it is possible to use 4 optics total, 2 per side!

This mount is rock-stable, giving you sturdiness with no flexures, since it is machined from an aluminized alloy.
