The Orion StarShoot G21 Deep Space Color Camera is a massive pixel count deep-sky astrophotography camera that uses the Sony IMX629 12-bit CMOS chip, complete with 3.3 micron pixels and 20.9M pixel array. Multiple resolution/aspect ratios are available in software, going all the way up to 5280x3956 pixels! This camera is wonderful for shooting planets and nebulae thanks to the 0.1ms-3600s exposures and up to 18 fps full frame (and much higher when subframing).

The StarShoot G21 is equipped with a two-stage regulated thermo-electric (TE) cooler with a fan, which is capable of reaching ~40-degrees C below ambient, drastically reducing noise in your images. The USB 3.0 interface provides exceptionally fast frame rates and downloads. You can power the camera electronics via the USB port and the TE cooler by an included AC adapter.

A standard T-thread is cut into the front of the G21 Deep Space Camera, and you can attach the camera to most all telescope configurations including coma correctors, flatteners, and off-axis guiders using the included 2" nozzle. The built-in USB 2.0 hub allows you to directly wire your filter wheel and guidescope camera to the G21, meaning you'll only have the 1 USB cable running to your laptop. You won't have to worry about unruly cables hanging all over your set-up!

This one-shot color CMOS chip excels at seeing faint objects in relatively short exposures, and adjustable gain means you can increase the sensitivity in a given exposure. The G21 has small pixels, which leads to better arc-seconds per pixel resolution, which is useful when imaging planets at higher power while sub-framing. The greater number of pixels also allows you to create large prints of your final image!

The G21 Camera is compatible with Windows 8/10/11 and includes a hard case, along with free control and image acquisition software. It is also ASCOM compatible, meaning that you can use most dedicated astro-imaging software to unlock the full potential of your new StarShoot G21 camera!
