Precise GoTo Telescope Mount & Controller

Sky-Watcher includes a SynScan hand controller in the package, offering precise GoTo capability for over 42,000 unique objects. The EQ6-R’s autoguider and USB ports can also connect directly to your favorite PC or other astrophotography controller. Polar alignment is simple with the included and integrated illuminated polar scope, allowing you to easily find Polaris and make precise alignment adjustments for spot-on tracking. Adapters are available separately to mount digital polar alignment tools such as the QHY PoleMaster to make polar alignment even easier.

EQ6-R Pro - A Silent GoTo Mount

Nobody wants a loud mount. The EQ6-R’s precise belt drive and stepper motors provide accurate GoTo and star tracking without the loud motor noises. For longer exposures, the EQ6-R is equipped with an ST-4 autoguider port, allowing you to make precise corrections automatically with your favorite guiding software and guide camera (Guiding Software and Camera not included).

With the Sky-Watcher EQR-6, you are not limited to small refractor telescopes and mini cameras. Feel free to add your large scope, astro camera and other imaging accessories, this mount’s generous 44lb weight capacity can handle it! Plus, with two independent 11 lb. counterweights and a retractable counterweight shaft, you’ll have no trouble finding precise balance of your heavier imaging system.

The mount head weighs 38 pounds making it light enough and small enough to be portable for those dark-sky adventures, but still substantial enough to support larger telescopes. The built-in carrying handle makes transportation easy.

Telescope attachment is simple with the included saddle, which accepts both types of dovetails (Losmandy and Vixen style) out of the box.
