The ASI183MM Pro Camera Specs at a Glance

EXPERIENCE DEEP SPACE IMAGING WITH THE ASI183MM PRO CAMERA

Planetary and Solar Imaging

Save time with the ASI183 Monochrome! It can record full 20.2 MP videos at 19 frames per second and capture the entire sun with its 1350 mm focal length. If you enjoy speed shooting planets like Jupiter and Saturn, the ASI183 clocks out at 308.17 frames per second at 320 x 240 resolution!

REFINED MECHANICS

Sony IMX183CLK-J CMOS Sensor

Offering a higher resolution, high Q.E., and efficient signal-to-noise ratio, the sensor is approximately 15.9 mm, and is back-illuminated for higher Q.E.! It can record 20.2-megapixel videos at 19 frames per second, which is 48% more resolution than an ultra, high-definition 4k video!

The Sony CMOS sensor offers 12 stops of dynamic range, giving you fuller images! When the gain settings are at 0, the read noise reaches 3e, and when the gain settings are at 30, it offers a low read noise of 1.6e.

USB 3.0 Port & USB 2.0 HUB

Get faster transmission with the USB 3.0 providing 5 GB to allow the ASI183MM to run at 19 fps. Get more from your camera by connecting to different accessories while having better cable management.

POWERFUL PERFORMANCE

High Quantum Efficiency

Capture high-contrast images with the ZWO ASI183 camera's incredible light-gathering ability. The ZWO ASI183 has a peak Q.E. of 84%! Also, the H-alpha emission line is recorded at 60% and doesn't record less than 50% in the visible spectrum.

High-Speed Video Recording

Focus in real-time and get the most data for your solar and planetary imaging setups with a 1-inch optical. The ASI 183 uses a high sensitivity back-illuminated structure with a high resolution of 2.4 μm square unit pixel. See how it compares at different rates below.
