Description

Utilizing Sony's IMX432 global shutter CMOS sensor, the ASI432MM camera offers the ideal combination of a large 1.1" sensor, generous 9μm pixels and high capture rate for outstanding planetary, solar and lunar imaging.

This camera's 1.1" sensor is significantly larger than most, giving the ASI432MM a uniquely wide field of view, making it the ideal choice for solar and lunar captures. The large sensor size also translates into a larger pixel size. Measuring in at 9μm, these portly pixels offer higher sensitivity for finer details and more nuanced gradients.

Thanks to its high shutter speed and the global shutter, this camera also excels at capturing fast moving objects such as the International Space Station with crisp detail. With a full well depth of 97ke, the ASI432MM offers impressive sensitivity and dynamic range.

The ASI432MM is an upgrade to the ASI174MM camera.

Unlike CCD cameras, the CMOS sensor used in the ASI432MM offer low readout noise. The addition of HCG mode further reduces high-gain noise, allowing 12bit captures at 140 gain.

ASI432MM Quantum Efficiency & Redout Noise

Quantum efficiency and readout noise are some of the most important specs for a planetary imaging camera. The ASI432MC offers both high QE and low readout noise, giving you a strong signal-to-noise ratio for crisp, clear images with minimal artifacting. ZWO exclusive hardware-level anti-amp glow technology helps ensure your captures are free from unnecessary data.
