ZWO's latest OSC planetary camera features the Sony IMX585 sensor for high resolution photos of the planets, sun and moon. The camera boasts zero amp glow, meaning your images will be clear of unnecessary readout noise.
ZWO ASI432MM Color Solar & Lunar Camera Specs
The ASI585MC's large sensor size allows the camera to maintain the same 2.9μm pixel size of the comparable ZWO ASI462MC camera, while offering 4x the resolution, with a total of 8.29 megapixels for a 4K capture. This sensor is ideal for solar and lunar imaging, and may be used as an all-sky camera to capture local weather conditions.
Zero Amp Glow with STARVIS 2
The new IMX585 sensor used in this camera offers zero amp glow, and improves upon the ASI485MC's dark current noise and full well capacity. Additionally, it improves upon its predecessor's light sensitivity by as much as 1.5x.

The ASI585MC's sensor is back-illuminated. This complex manufacturing process moves structural wiring from the front of the light sensititve chip to the back, giving the sensor a larger light gathering area for higher sensitivity. This results in excellent low light photos thanks to the resulting low readout noise and large full well depth.
ASI432MM Quantum Efficiency & Amp Glow
Quantum efficiency is extremely important when it comes to efficiently collecting available light. This camera boasts an impressive 91% QE, which when paired with its zero amp glow characteristic, makes for highly detailed and accurate captures.
